Well, you may know that I'm a CG artist, based on the webpage, but what about the man himself. As a person, I consider myself to be an expert in the mathematics and sciences, and apply these skills in daily life, including my programming.
My programming is used nearly everywhere. I recently used the program in a school project, and also have used it in several science reports, and papers. As a game maker, I also use Pov-ray to create the animations for cutscenes.

My Life with Pov-Ray

I became a web designer before I became a programmer. I originally was looking for a better way to make graphics than MS paint, and my first option was VRML. Unfortunately, I did not want to buy some software, but I was lucky with my resources. I had three books that recommended Pov-ray for "stunning and realistic 3-D graphics."
Upon discovering it was free, I immediately downloaded it. I discovered that it was descriptive-code based, and almost immediately dropped it. Then I remembered that the more you have to work, the better something gets, and learned Pov-ray basics in nearly a month. I have become advanced over the past few years, but there's still a long way to go, I admit. Very soon, I found the IRTC, and now I show off my work there, and here on this website.

My other skills

Aside from my Pov-ray, I am practically a jack-of-all-trades. However, I am actually a master of few. Here are skills I am learned in:
CG art, Real art, Web Design, Author, Playwright, poet, Game Maker, Mathematician, Chemist, Biologist, Astronomer, Film Maker, and Carpenter.

My Inspiration

Rune S. Johansen

Mr. Johansen is an amazing programer, and he was one of two people who made me realize the true potential of the pov-ray program. I have studied some of his code, and have learned a few of my skills from him. He is one of the reasons I stayed with the Pov-ray Program.
One nice thing about Mr. Johansen's images are their photo-realism. I had not believed that degree of photo-realism possible of the program, but thank's to his images, I have now devoted more time to better realism skills. I have not yet achieved that degree of realism, but I am still working hard. However, I thank Mr. Johansen for his inspiration.

Pixar Animation Studios

I have also recieved inspiration from the pros. I have seen some Disney Movies, but it's Pixar movies I love. Several times as a kid, I would watch Pixar Classics, and always was interested in learning how to do the things they did. I obvously soon learned how hard it was, and I tip my hat to those at Pixar, but it is one of my goals to one day create a feature-legnth film. I own all of the Pixar full-lengths features, and watch them constantly to observe how they do particular things.
The biggest aspect about an animated film is camera angles, and I watch many Pixar films sometimes just to see what specific views they use for particular scenes. I hope to one day reach their level of expertise, but after all, I am still only one man. So, Pixar started me interested in animated computer graphics, and I thank them for that.
